Project: AI Affinity Research

This research project investigated the willingness of employees in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to learn about generative artificial intelligence (AI), with a focus on how interest levels differ across industry sectors. Data collection was conducted through a survey distributed to SME employees using the Prolific platform, supported by funding from Breda University of Applied Sciences.
To analyze the data, statistical methods including analysis of variance (ANOVA) and post-hoc pairwise comparisons with T-tests and Bonferroni corrections were applied. These analyses revealed significant sector-specific differences: employees working in financial and professional services showed the greatest willingness to engage in generative AI learning, whereas those in customer service and retail reported lower levels of interest.
